Interesting Spiritual Information: The Ash is the World tree. It connects the past, present and future and is the link between the microcosm and macrocosm. As above so below, the cosmos is reflected in both mankind and earthly things. The inner workings within your different levels have a reaction in the outer. A sacred Druid tree, one of three; oak, ash and thorn. It is said that Druids used wands of ash because of its straight grain.

Folklore: In Greek mythology, the Meliae were nymphs of the ash, just as dryads were nymphs of the oak tree. The ancient Greek goddess Nemesis carried an ash branch as a symbol of the divine instrument of the justice of the gods. She measured out mortal happiness or misery, ensuring that fortune was shared out equally amongst all people and not kept by the few. Yggdrasil is an immense mythical tree that plays a central role in Norse cosmology. Yggdrasill is the tree of life, and is an eternal green ash tree, whose branches connect all of the nine worlds and extends up to and above the heavens.
